When we talk about awakening, this is the core of the process is the shift from identifying from thinking we are the small, human self into realizing that we are far more than what we see in the mirror. We are a vast multidimensional self with a S here in the human experience to have experiences and evolve.
For giving portrait of the ego and then one of the soul. And that way, as you give the one of the soul, you can refer back to the qualities of ego and contrast them with how the soul operates. For instance, the ego tends to separate and divide, whereas the soul, unites and unifies. The soul, the ego tends to be either or in the way it sees everything where is the soul is both and or all of the above.
The separate self Censor, what we call the ego operates through the thinking mind. It exist in the world of concepts and beliefs ideas about itself in the world gathered from previous experience. This comes through perceptions that they have themselves were inaccurate at the time they were perceived. They often occurred at times of stress or trauma, or when we were children and didn't did not have the developed mind or experiential based even evaluate what we were experiencing accurately. And so the mind believes that these ideas and concepts are true. It accepts them as its reality and bases our life on that reality it's continually trying to fill the role of the central focus of our lives. It's God like in a certain ways or the CEO or chief executive officer of our of our lives, trying to tell us exactly what to do when to do it and how to do it. What to seek after and what to run from. It's always seeking and avoiding going for this and running from that that's it's nature. This is good and desirable. This is bad and should be avoided. It is never enough now for the present moment. It is always functioning in the past from its experiences and its assumptions and beliefs garner for those experiences and it's perceptions of what the future may hold, especially those things that are potentially threatening or dangerous. It is constantly assessing those threats and dangerous things in the future and developing strategies to avoid them and to steer us into a satisfaction of our basic human needs. Unfortunately, it often fails dramatically to do any of these things. It always projects fulfillment on something external to our own being. If we can just get this or that we will finally be happy complete at peace and fulfilled. It's always looking to the next goal the next thing to acquir
