While writing the article about the August 21st, 2017 eclipse, I kept thinking about the August 11th solar eclipse in 1999. At the time, I felt strongly it was a powerful and pivotal event, especially since it was occurring right before the new millennium. In researching this upcoming eclipse I came upon information about the Saros 145 Solar Eclipse cycle. Every 18 years, a full solar eclipse comes as the completion of numerous earth-moon cycles. As a pivotal completion event, the Saros eclipses seem to shine the light on what is most out of alignment with soul and life at the end of the cycle, so we can address these things before going into the next one, which will occur in 2035. It is obvious that we in the critical stages of so many crises that we don’t have until the next Saros 145 Eclipse to deal with them. Climate change, Peak Oil, and the ongoing Sixth Great Extinction will not wait another 18 years for us to wake up and address them.
What I found absolutely uncanny is that the 1999 Solar Eclipse was pointing to the very same issues that the August 21st eclipse also illuminates. The many crises we face today were also obvious, but less pressing, in 1999. The need for a collective awakening and return to sustainable ways of living were also highlighted at that time.
Polarization and conflict were key points in the 1999 eclipse with the grand cross configuration. There’s no question that the succeeding years have seen increasing polarization and conflict on a global scale. The many crises we face that remain unresolved are escalating; environmental, social, political and economic. The polarizations are obvious. In the middle east there is the Israeli-Palestinian issue, the many islamic terrorist organizations, religious factions warring with each other. Worldwide we see the rapid polarization of wealth, the 1%-99% that birthed the Occupy Movement, the extreme political division between the left and right, nationalism versus globalism, the revival of the cold war between the US and Russia.
The position of the Moon’s Nodes, the indicator of the deeper karmic issues in the Aug 11th, 1999 chart, really hit at the heart of what that eclipse had the potential to catalyze in terms of transformation. Below is a summary from the article below.
Let’s attempt to summarize what the nodal positions tell us about the karmic conditions we must face, and how we might transform, transcend, and thus evolve with greatest ease into the new cycle. We are asked to face what prophecy and ancient wisdom tells us about the death and rebirth that the cycles dictate. These signs become the basis by which we can end our denial and consecrate our existence to surrendering to the process and committing our personal will to evolving as quickly as we can. Most importantly, we are asked to find our true Self, and to follow the totally unique and individuated path of our soul. It is time when the soul of Gaia and humanity must break free to express and manifest its will and purpose. Let the soul manifest!
While no one but God is qualified to judge whether humanity has answered the call, it does not appear that we have had a true spiritual awakening and rebirth. We have not come to grips with the natural laws our species has violated. We have become more materialistic, have largely ignored the flashing red lights of environmental degradation, rapid climate change, the need to transition from fossil fuels to renewables, and to reduce consumption. The Pacific Ocean is polluted with Fukushima radiation and an immense garbage patch. Dead zones are appearing elsewhere around the planet. One could go on and on with a list of how the environment has degraded. I think it’s safe to say that while there has been some progress, we are far behind the curve of being able to transition in an orderly, sustainable manner to a post-industrial, post-materialistic, soul-based, world culture.
The forces of darkness, through the Global Elite that control the entire banking system, major corporations, and media, rule over the western world through the European Union and the shadow government in the US. The NeoCons took control of the US government in 2000 by stealing the election from Al Gore and giving it to George Bush, who was their candidate. Every President since then, until President Trump, has been placed there by them. The “Deep State” now controls Congress and the judicial branch and most of the major departments such as Defense, State, and Treasury, and they have encircled the President. This is why this time is so critical and why Donald Trump appears to be so prominent in the upcoming, Great American Solar Eclipse.
